Innovation Partner: Ink pioneers the future of Delivery in aviation at T2RLEngage 2024
Ink Innovation partnered with T2RL to research the future of Delivery within the Offer Order world— and at T2RLEngage 2024 in London, we did just that.
As the industry gathered from September 23–25, all eyes were on developments within the Offer-Order-Settle-Deliver (OOSD) framework. Through workshops, keynotes, and panel sessions, Ink played a key role in pushing the conversation forward and challenging traditional thinking around Delivery in aviation.
Exploring retailing within Delivery
One of the standout moments from the event was our exclusive workshop, Retailing within Delivery. Tailored for airline executives and transformation leaders, this session explored how airlines can unlock retailing opportunities during the Delivery phase — not just after the point of sale.
With insights from Ink experts Shawn Richards, Victor Alzate, and Ben Waymark, participants dug into topics like simplifying retailing workflows, integrating with ground operations, and broadening product offerings. The session offered practical guidance on bridging the current gaps in the Delivery framework — and reimagining it as a space for enhancing connected travel experiences.

Keynote: The Evolution of DCS for Offer Order
Ink CEO Shawn Richards took the stage with a compelling keynote, "The Evolution of DCS for Offer Order," spotlighting the critical shift from legacy Departure Control Systems (DCS) toward commercially driven Delivery Management.
Drawing on our experience processing over one million orders, Shawn highlighted how early implementation of delivery systems in the OOSD flow is essential to releasing its full commercial potential. The session made clear: Delivery is no longer just operational — it’s strategic.
Panel spotlight: Delivery – Beyond the DCS
Another key moment was the panel Delivery – Beyond the DCS, which sparked important discussion around the future of Delivery systems. Are they simply a component of Order Management, or are they becoming independent commercial platforms?
Moderated by T2RL’s Ian Tunnacliffe, the panel featured voices from LATAM, Southwest Airlines, and Ink’s Chief Product Officer Victor Alzate. Together, they explored how airlines are adapting — and what needs to happen next.

What comes next
To support the discussions held at T2RLEngage-2024, in partnership with T2RL, Ink Innovation released its whitepaper, Delivery in an Order Management World. The report explores how Delivery is evolving within the OOSD model and offers strategies for airlines to adopt modern delivery management earlier — enhancing both operational efficiency and revenue outcomes.
