Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You will be providing valuable insights and analysis to support planning and growth objectives. As the Accountant you will also manage and mentor another finance team member and work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to align financial goals with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports and purchase orders
- Reconciliation of bank statements and credit card transactions
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other relevant financial reports
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
- Maintain compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements in Spain
- Coordinate and manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit processes
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial close processes
- Strong understanding of Suministro Inmediato de Información (SII) requirements
- Provide recommendations for improving cash flow management and optimising liquidity
- Payroll processing for all subsidiaries
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance and Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, preferably in a multinational organisation or a complex business environment
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide financial guidance
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in both English and Spanish
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
- A self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving
